THE ART ANSWER IN 2009 by DG Wilson Jan. 1, 2009 11:34 pm
I am never down for long, that is one of my greatest qualities. Although like Ralph Kramdon, they usually don't work out the way I desire...BUT at least I keep trying. I NEVER give up.
This new year will be very good for us all. I have hope again. I wish to "Make it" as an artist WITHOUT being considered an "Art Whore" while being taken seriously in a large variety of artistic fields with equal weight. At the same time I also wish appeal to serious art collectors.
The clothing line will be pushed into stores...(but my main drive and goal is to see people buy from me directly for cheaper!)
The books will be more aggressively marketed this year as well. I will also get them into stores as soon as they have their ISBN# etc. From there I will engage in lectures and workshops that help explain further how we can get involved safely to make even greater changes for the worlds' good. I will start with book clubs.
Fine art is not as popular in the main circles as is tattoos and art on clothing. So that I will continue to work upon. (Right now my fine art site gets about 75 hits a day, this site for tattoos gets about 240 daily!) So I want there to be an equal focus on my fine art by those that are not interested in tattoos...although that circle is getting smaller daily too.
For my tattoos I am going to embark on a great journey in the art and the application of my work. It already has a painted or artistic feel to it but I would like to do more. It is funny because many feel that this would mean that I am going to try some stuff out but that is NOT what I mean! (Some of you that have come to know me realize that I see completed works in my head before we even begin your sketch. All the work that is done is to achieve that image. So this "new" approach is already done I am just going to Search Out more people in which to do this work rather than continue to wait for a paying customer to ask.)
Also I have to note that the clothing line for yourself, or your own business with my art on your clothes that you sell is getting more attention. That is a good step. More people need to take advantage of this opportunity now but I do see it growing.
All in all this has been the best winter for me and my family. Lots has been done in the past 2 years and now we are pretty well set up. The only thing is that I want to finish the art site and re work the rest. (It would be great if I had some help but that is not here yet so YOU will have to be patient with me.)

Another thing that I am going to do is start publishing my written work to reward you dear blog reader. These will be my books posted right here for you to enjoy in small segments. I wish to write short stories and this will be the perfect forum as well. Stay tuned and visit often because you will really enjoy these!
Lastly for this entry I am going to start to work on my MASTERPIECES COMMUNITIES UNITY PROGRAM. This was developed wayyyy back in 2003 and now it is time to get it going. This Blog is going to be a main communication for that inside scoop.
Real briefly: this is a program that takes the talents, services, knowledge and products of regular people and show cases them for others to enjoy. Products and services will receive discounts to those that attend and we will be able to get paid just for having people show up. My vision is to create a real and viable combination between Plays, and Earning Entertainment! Much more and details will come soon so stay tuned!
