In my last entry for my blog (CURE FOR GLOBAL WARMING) you may feel that I have over stepped my bounds and attacked the wrong people for the crimes against nature. I feel there is a different perspective that needs to be addressed and the Artists of the world need to step up and make their views known.
Artists see the world differently because of our DNA, it has changed the way the connections of our brains work as well as enhance the creative hemisphere. This gives us artists a perspective that is new to most. This a great power of the artist.
As an artist I see that there are efforts by many small organizations that lack the ability to organize together. As an outsider and artist that can see/think differently it seems obvious that we should work together better to beat Global Warming before we all suffer even more.
The artist should work in concert with these efforts, but within their strengths. I feel that we should make the average person understand the need for action in a way that only we can. Paint, draw, write, sing about the need for the people to make the change...as I recommended, by making everyone understand that change can occur quickly if we the masses worked together simply by NOT buying products that we either don't need, want (OR didn't want before we saw the AD) even products that continue to kill the world.
I know this is a tall order, but I know also that I can do it. This is an open call to all artists, lets' work together to get this message across. How about we all do a painting or small series in our own choice of medium that centers on the theme:
ART FOR AWARENESS OF GLOBAL WARMING
Send in your work via email and we will make the art available as a bunch of Organic Products like T's, Books, Prints, and have the images up for public viewing online. And we will donate our Proceeds to Solar Power Research with our profits. The Products will be up for sale through Cafe Press.com and advertised on all of my other sites. Further I do hope that each artist will promote in their own way as well. The more artists the more art, the more interesting the products. Also the more artists the more views on the subject AND advertising. This is a grat means of promotion of their work and interest for the world.
With any luck we will create a buzz about the environment and be able to help the situation with our donations. WE can actually create the desire in the consumer to tell the Big Biz companies to act responsibly and to clean up their mess. If the consumer simply does not buy their damaging products...like NON organic foods...then those farms will have to turn organic to make any money. If they all turn organic then we will have CHEAPER prices AND a better earth with MUCH BETTER FOODS! Better foods, without Pesticides will give us better health and help us have halthier smarter childern which will continue the trend to help the Earth for us all. Further, ALL organic farms will help bring a balance back to nature so that things start to heal by themselves. Also, if you read my blog, the Honey Bees will come back and that is NECESSARY right NOW to happen because we are in danger of losing 3/4 of our PLANTS which means NO fruits OR Veggies! That is a full 1/3 of our entire Food Supply! This project is not only vital for our survival but it is WHAT WE the artists WERE CREATED TO DO!
So come on, tell an artist to paint, draw, write, sing about the problem of GLOBAL WARMING and create a work of ART FOR THE AWARNESS OF GLOBAL WARMING so that we can interest NEEDED to create change in those that can actually make the change for us AND SHOULD do so because they are the ones responsible for the damage!
